Vanity Mirror/Compact (IMC-AM29)

Objective: A women's conference was seeking an upscale table gift for the conference closing luncheon. The gift needed to be unique, stylish and utilitarian in nature. If possible, they were looking for something that could be personalized rather than carry the conference logo.

Strategy:The distributor proposed the new Vanity mirror/compact from IMC. As part of the IMC 'Plan Ahead' program, they were able to offer the Vanity with free laser personalization and the conference opted to decorate each compact with the attendee's two or three initials engraved. The conference ordered an equal amount of the three colors and by alternating the colors at the place settings; they were able to bring more color to the room and the occasion. The compact was placed, partially opened in the middle of the place setting and served as a seating placard as well.

Result: The attendees appreciated the thoughtfulness of the conference for the gift as it was personalized and did not serve as an advertisement for the conference. Most remarked they would remember the conference even more positively for the personalized compact. Many also remarked about how much fun it was to walk around the tables meeting people they did not know as the women searched for the compact with their exact initials. The conference immediately began seeking other 'personalized' items for future conferences.
