ToGo Duffel (IMC-TB421B)
Objective: A major insurance firm rewarded top policy writers, and their significant others, with a trip to Maui and also wanted an additional gift to commemorate the trip. The item chosen had to be useful and unisex, yet display the company logo prominently.
Strategy: The distributor presented the new IMC 'ToGo Duffel' collapsible bag with the idea that it was easily "packable" for the trip to Maui and then could be used for souvenirs purchased during the vacation. The insurance company liked the additional feature of laser engraving on both end panels. This allowed them to place the insurance company logo on one panel and decorate the other panel with the name of the trip, "Big Kahuna, Maui 2007." They also liked that both panels were visible whether the bag was open or closed, which is often not the case when decorating on a side panel and the screened or embroidered imprint is hidden when carried against the body.
Result: The agents appreciated the thoughtfulness shown by the company and the bags were regularly seen at various excursions around the island. Many commented that the shoulder strap made for easier carrying than a shopping bag, and many planned to continue using the duffel back on the mainland. The insurance company also added the ToGo Duffel to their online employee company store.
