Amore - Heart Charm Keyholder (IMC-AK872)

Objective: A national shopping center company wanted to increase traffic in their malls around the country during the month of February and increase sales for their retailers.

Strategy: A distributor presented the IMC “Amore” Heart Charm keyholder to the mall executives as they thought it would be a perfect item, due to its price and aesthetics, to reward Valentine season patrons who spent over $75 at their shopping malls. This promotion was incorporated in their regional newspaper ads and in flyers distributed at the malls. Patrons were instructed to bring their receipts to the information desks, and the information desks verified the sales and presented the charm to the customer.

Result: The shopping center company experienced a 26.3% sales increase for the month of February over sales the year prior without the promotion. The company is looking to repeat this promotion next year.
