Arcadia II Emblem (WM712CHRCAE)

Objective: A prominent medical school was seeking a graduation gift suitable for new doctors. They were looking for an item with a high perceived value while maintaining an attractive price point and a tie to the medical community was a critical factor.

Strategy: The distributor presented the Marquis by Waterford® Arcadia II Emblem with the caduceus emblem. As a Waterford® item, the quality and high perceived value was a given and the caduceus emblem made for a natural connection with medicine. Known to last a lifetime, the distributor said a simple inscription of the university name and year would be enough to have the doctors using the pen their entire careers. They also noted that with such an attractive price point, the university could add a second line and personalize each pen.

Result: Knowing the graduates allowed the university to have the writing instruments personalized and the response was overwhelming. The new doctors were very proud of the pens and remarked that they appreciated being recognized for all their hard work with something beyond a diploma and a stack of student loans.
