Lancelot Key Tag Case History
Objective: Macy's wanted to provide
a gift to their customers who stayed at one of their partner
hotels in San Francisco and purchased at least $250 of Macy's
merchandise during their visit over the holiday season.
Upon hotel check-in, the visitor would also receive a Macy's
Holiday Card, which would serve as their "key" to special
shopping privileges.
Execution: A distributor presented
Macy's with the IMC-181 Lancelot Key Tag as a way to play
off the Holiday Card's "key to shopping privileges" theme
and a gift for those who purchased $250 of Macy's merchandise.
Results: The promotion was so successful
that Macy's ordered more key tags to use in future promotional
applications.
